Mission Enabler, Lytham

Main Responsibilities

The Bishop of Lancaster with the Incumbent of the Parish of Lytham would like to appoint a Mission Enabler.

This is a full-time role for an incumbent status priest to minister alongside the incumbent in the newly created single parish of Lytham.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop mission and evangelism in the delightful seaside town of Lytham.

You will

• Be primarily seen as a lead on developing mission and outreach in the new single parish
• Encourage each church to find its own ‘flavour’ whilst encouraging them to work with both clergy to develop a focus on reaching out to our town
• Help us develop the key stands of the Diocesan Vision 2026 as they apply to our parish, with a particular focus on starting New Local Congregations to reach new demographics
• Help us build life-enhancing relationships with those who do not currently attend church and to encourage us to work more effectively in the areas of mission and evangelism
• Foster and develop discipleship, mission & evangelism within our churches.
• Identify and deliver outreach activities for all in the parish, but with a key focus on the younger generations. You will have the opportunity to serve as a foundation governor at the Lytham Church of England School
• Be committed to a united approach to projects as we sensitively guide two churches into their new status as one parish.
