Introduction

Associate Priest, St Peter’s Market Bosworth. The Bosworth Parochial Church Council is keen to appoint a priest part-time to join as part of the ministry team, primarily within the Bosworth Parish. Our vision and mission is to be an integral part of our communities and to show the love and compassion of Jesus Christ throughout our discipleship and relationships, worship and work. The role of Associate Priest is designed to support this vision and continue the development and growth of mission activities of the Parish.

This employed post is for an initial fixed term period of 18 months, on a part time basis of 28 hours a week including Sundays.

The parish of St Peter Market Bosworth is a historic rural market town in the West of Leicestershire. It has one church, St Peter, and a population circa 3,000.

We seek a person who:

  • has an interest in rural ministry
  • is a skilled discipleship lead and enabler
  • is able to discern and encourage the gifts of others
  • is able to nurture inclusive and intergenerational worshipping communities
  • is a natural communicator with good interpersonal skills, approachable and sociable
  • is a prayerful listener, adaptive and sensitive to context
  • is confident engaging with community and school settings.
