Introduction

The Bishop of Southwark with the Vicar of Croydon wish to appoint a
Vicar of South Croydon Benefice (St Peter’s and St Augustine’s)
Our benefice of St Peter’s and St Augustine’s is in the London Borough of Croydon. We are seeking a priest who will help us deliver the exciting vision we have for our benefice, Christ-centred, outward-focused, bringing God’s love to South Croydon.
The person we are looking for will be:
- a passionate visionary who will help us prioritise mission, with a focus on growing the congregations and in bringing God’s love to South Croydon fulfilling the diocesan vision of being Christ Centred and Outward focussed.
- a creative preacher and teacher of the gospel, bringing it to life for OUR context and times, helping us to walk closer to God;
- an inclusive leader who encourages contributions from all, to build an even stronger presence for the benefice in our richly diverse community;
- a caring and transformative minister, sensitive to the needs of those who are vulnerable through societal or health issues.
You will be supported by an Assistant Curate, two Licensed Lay Ministers and a Commissioned Pastoral Lay Minister, plus many volunteers involved in all aspects of church and community life. We will support your personal development and well-being.
We would love to hear from you as we look forward to exciting times and new opportunities ahead for our benefice and community. Explore our profile to find out more.
