House for Duty Priest
The Two Shires Benefice is seeking a priest with a heart for community, mission, and a living faith.
We are a supportive benefice committed to living as part of the Kingdom of God—encouraging one another in worship, witness, and service.
We are looking for someone who will nurture our existing congregations while helping us grow in faith and outreach.
A passion for Messy Church, Wild Church, toddler groups, and engagement with local schools is essential, as is a desire to encourage more people into the Christian faith both within the church and across the wider community.
We value a modern, hopeful expression of Christianity and seek a priest who will help make the church the beating heart of community life.
If you are enthusiastic about building relationships, inspiring faith, and serving all ages, we would love to hear from you.
If you are prepared to embrace this challenge, we can offer you:
- A friendly team with a dedicated church wardens, wider PCC committees and children's teams.
- Excellent links with our local schools, a fully functioning toddler group and wild church teams.
- Administrative support from a paid benefice administrator who has been in position for two years and takes care of rotas, inquirers and benefice finances.
- A spacious four-bedroom house with solar panels on the edge of a village with a fantastic school just a short walk away, and a local town less than 3 miles away.
- A fantastic location with Chard town with all local amenities within walking distance, and Lyme Regis 12 miles away.
