The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint a full-time Priest as Upper Wansbeck and Lyne Valley Mission Priest
Introduction
Might God be calling you to serve in mission, alongside the incumbents, among the people of the villages and hamlets of this beautiful part of Northumberland? This group values team working, shared discernment and the gifts of lay and ordained people serving together. There is real encouragement to nurture existing ministries, to experiment, and to help shape new worshipping communities in response to local need. The communities stretch from the beautiful coastline through to the deep rural yet are a short drive from the picturesque town of Morpeth.
The Ideal Candidate
We seek a priest who loves people, loves God and has a passion for mission and outreach. You will need strong collaborative skills to help develop partnership, vocation and discipleship as we seek to enable more and different people to experience the love of God. Our new mission priest will have a love of rural life robust vision for rural ministry. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a love of community engagement who is looking to extend and develop their partnership working in a context that is both challenging and exciting.
