Introduction
St Barnabas is a warm and welcoming parish in the liberal Anglo-Catholic tradition. We are an inclusive, friendly and faithful congregation who care deeply about our church and our community.
We wish to appoint a new vicar who can guide us through the next stage of our journey by inspiring the congregation in our mission to Mitcham. We are looking for someone with:
- a clear vision for growth, particularly for reaching younger generations;
- a gift for preaching, who will challenge us in how we live day-to-day;
- a warm, pastoral presence, available to the congregation and community and offering care to all ages;
- a plan to enable children’s, youth and families ministry;
- the skills to strengthen links with the community;
- good organisational and leadership experience, who can lead the church in a stable and sustainable direction.
