Introduction

A place where all are welcome and lives are enriched

Raynes Park, South-West London, is a popular place to live close to Wimbledon with excellent transport links into central London.

We are an inclusive church in the mainstream Anglican Tradition, with a big heart and desire to grow especially among young families.  Our church buildings are well used by the local community and we want to develop our links with the users.

We are looking for:

  • A motivated and pro-active leader willing to delegate and empower us
  • A caring and friendly personality, able to inspire and engage the wider community
  • Someone with a proven record of ministry among children, youth and young families.
  • The ability to encourage generosity and support the financial sustainability of the parish.

We offer:

  • A four bedroom detached house opposite the church in good order
  • A beautiful, light, spacious church with a fine organ,
  • A modern parish hall
  • Support from a part-time administrator and a committed team of lay volunteers

To be appointed to an incumbent status post in the Diocese of Southwark, a priest must have served a title post in an Anglican church in the British Isles. We aim to be a diverse and truly representative Diocese, and particularly welcome applications from people of UKME heritage.

The Diocese of Southwark is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All post holders are expected to share this commitment, as outlined in the A Safe Church manual. Appointments are made according to the Church of England's Safer Recruitment Guidance, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists check. Our whistleblowing and recruitment of ex-offenders policies can be found here
