Associate Priest (HfD) for Hambleden Valley
Vacancy Reference cofe/TP/111022/10385
Introduction

Could God be calling you to a rural ministry shaped by community, creativity, and prayer in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Diocese of Oxford?
The Hambleden Valley lies in the heart of the Chiltern Hills between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow. Our six churches serve distinct but closely connected villages, where worship, fellowship and pastoral care remain at the heart of daily life. You will live in a spacious 4-bed house in Turville at the foot of Windmill Hill, and join a team with a Rector, PTO clergy, administrative support and committed lay leaders.
We are looking for an Associate Priest who is:
- Faithful and prayerful, rooted in Scripture
- Happiest in rural ministry, delighting in seasons of both opportunity and challenge
- Organised, steadfast, collaborative
- Flexible and creative, at home in both traditional and informal worship
- An easy communicator and candid encourager
- Glad to walk alongside people of all faiths and none; those who are unsure and questioning
What we can offer:
- A warm and welcoming benefice community who have a tradition of loving their Priest well
- A wide variety of church life, from tractor blessings to established New Congregations
- A small and efficient clergy team led by the Rector
- Support from a paid administrator, a loving, active and well-resourced deanery, and countless helpful and conscientious villagers.
