Priest in Charge (0.5) St Peter’s Filton, Bristol

The Acting Bishop of Bristol seeks a Priest in Charge to lead St Peter’s Filton into renewed confidence, growth and community engagement. St Peter’s is a welcoming Anglican parish church, rooted in eucharistic worship, inclusive ministry and Christ’s welcome in a changing community.

Honouring the church’s liturgical, musical and pastoral traditions, you will help discern change with sensitivity, imagination and clarity. You will preach and teach engagingly, deepen prayer and discipleship, encourage collaborative ministry, and equip lay people to use their gifts.

Filton offers rich opportunities for mission. Prominently placed on Gloucester Road North, St Peter’s has a well-used hall and community spaces, with scope to build partnerships and serve children, young people, families, students, older people and those who are isolated or in need.

We offer a supportive team, committed volunteers, excellent facilities, strong worship and music, and a parish ready to take the next faithful steps. If you are pastoral, collaborative, outward-looking and rooted in prayer, with a heart for inclusive parish ministry and community transformation, we would be delighted to hear from you.
