Overview

The Bishop of Newcastle wishes to appoint an incumbent to the benefice of Beadnell, Ellingham and North Sunderland in the Deanery of Bamburgh and Glendale.

Introduction

The people of the parishes of are praying for an encouraging people person, who will re-invigorate their worshipping life, deepen their spirituality, grow their congregations larger, younger and more diverse, and help their churches to be outward-looking towards the wider communities.

Main Responsibilities

To be a lively and engaged presence in the worshipping communities and beyond, helping the parishes to thrive and to effectively collaborate with one another. 

To further encourage and enable lay leadership and collaborative working patterns. 

To develop local strategy which align with the deanery and diocesan commitments to ‘Seeking, Sharing, Sending’, making best use of buildings and of financial and human resource.
