Introduction

New Benefice Looking for Priest-in-Charge with wings!

The four parishes of Charlton Musgrove, Cucklington with Stoke Trister and Bayford, Pen Selwood and Wincanton in the proposed Monarch’s Way Benefice are enjoying working together with a growing sense of identity and vision; and are looking for a new Priest who will relish being part of something new and exciting in beautiful South Somerset.

Could you be the ‘Angel’ of our benefice who will:

• herald the good news and bring light into the darkness and trust that God is in control;
• bring in a new beginning in which children and the next generation of people will be even more important;
• be caring and draw more people into a life of faith in Jesus and the churches of the benefice;
• be welcoming and encourage us to work alongside you – bringing a message that says ‘come with me’;
• (may) be musical;
• bring a big fanfare to help us celebrate the new benefice
• be cheeky!

• The support of committed lay teams, PCCs, Readers, Lay worship ministers, a part-time administrator, clergy colleagues with PTO, and many willing disciples who will welcome and want to work alongside you
• Four parishes already working together and preparing the way for you to lead us

• A large home at The Rectory in Wincanton, offering modern living accommodation with extensive gardens, a short walk from Wincanton church, schools and town centre
