Overview

This is a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department. Assisting in the production of management accounts, annual accounts and budgets for both the Diocese of Liverpool and Liverpool Cathedral. Taking responsibility for specific areas of work and assisting the Director of Finance in other areas throughout the finance function.

Introduction

The Management Accountant is an important part of our finance team that supports the work of both Liverpool Cathedral and the Diocese of Liverpool. This permanent full time role gives opportunity to work independently within a team with exposure to a range of financial processes within a Charity setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • To assist in all aspects of financial management of the Liverpool Diocesan Board of Finance  and all Cathedral companies.
  • To monitor and report on financial aspects of ongoing projects
  • To guide and support the finance team in day-to-day operations
  • To act as systems-controller regarding accounting software and coding structures and system maintenance

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced accountant with strong interpersonal skills and an acute attention to detail. They would benefit from experience in delivering month end processes and experience of designing, implementing and managing finance processes and policies.
