Located in the centre of the market town of Spalding, in the south of the Diocese, we have been described as a ‘Choral and Floral’ Parish. God has called us to be a welcoming church, where people encounter God and from where we join in his mission in loving service to the local community and in generosity towards building God’s Kingdom around the world.
We are an aspiring Key Mission Church who wish to;
- Support the development of faith among the young people of the church by continuing to invest in the choir for girls and boys
- Promote adult discipleship by encouraging preparation for confirmation and on going faith development.
- Extend the number and range of activities that strengthen relationships across and beyond the church.
- Recruit volunteers to make the church open to more people and continue to refurbish the Vista Hall.
We seek a Priest who has:
- A strong understanding of parochial ministry and the importance of pastoral encounter
- The ability to balance the demands of working with other churches and holding local positions of responsibility; with an interest in the place of the Church in the wider community
- The ability to lead, facilitate and build on the work underway to grow the church through music & high quality worship.
- The ability to work collaboratively with clergy and lay people to grow and support teams, build relationships, recognise talents, encourage discipleship and lay ministry
- The ability to serve as a training incumbent and provide oversight ministry
