Introduction

Priest-in-Charge of Brighton St Paul and Brighton St Bartholomew 
  
These two benefices are situated in the vibrant and cultural city of Brighton. Both benefices have passed the Resolution under the House of Bishop’s Declaration and is affiliated to The Society under the patronage of St Wilfrid and St Hilda. 

The Bishop of Chichester and Patrons seek to appoint a Priest-in-Charge to lead both benefices in a life of worship, mission and evangelism as we seek to know, love and follow Jesus. 

We are praying for a priest who will:
  • Share confidence in the work of God, most assuredly in the celebration of seven sacraments
  • Build us up to be the Body of Christ in those places where we live and work through sacramental ministry, preaching, teaching and pastoral care 
  • Work collaboratively across and within our parishes
  • Lead us in strengthening the bonds that already unite us, whilst also exploring new ways of fostering links across the parishes 
  • Work with children, families and young people as prioritised in our parish’s Mission Action Plan 
  • Encourage and nurture in the many gifts present in our worshipping communities
  • Be a gifted communicator of God’s grace
