Introduction

Team Vicar (House for Duty) for the Parish of St Andrew’s Limpsfield Chart

St Andrew’s Church is situated in a beautiful rural location surrounded moi1hPFKNGE8fBq22KJcNMSse946xfd5FvMiDMGA.jpgby National Trust woods and the adjacent vicarage is a comfortable four-bedroom family home. Both have been lovingly maintained and are in superb condition.

We are seeking a priest to continue the growth of this committed congregation, engage with village life, and build on existing links with young families. Our congregation is friendly, sociable and enjoys organizing special services and events for local people. Sunday worship fosters a sense of joy and community which extends to activities including study groups, Families@4, village barbecues, concerts, and serving Sunday teas to visitors in August. Our church family is supportive and open to sharing new ideas.

Limpsfield Chart has a thriving cricket club, pub, golf club, and a weekly community coffee morning in St Andrew’s Hall. It is situated two miles from Oxted where there are many local amenities and a railway station.

We are hoping to find a priest who hears God’s call to ministry in this parish and feel that a healthy balance can be maintained between the work of the church, leisure activities and family life.

To be appointed to an incumbent status post in the Diocese of Southwark, a priest must have served a title post in an Anglican church in the British Isles. We aim to be a diverse and truly representative Diocese, and particularly welcome applications from women and people of UKME heritage. This post is subject to DBS enhanced disclosure.
