The Benefice of St Matthew’s Reading
Are you open to the challenges and opportunities of leading an outreach-focused and increasingly intercultural church in West Reading?
We are looking for a vicar who:
- is a confident biblical communicator, and faithful to the historic teaching of the Gospel
- will help us translate contacts into disciples in our richly diverse urban parish
- thrives in team work, keen to inspire, equip and empower members for ministry
- has strong pastoring abilities
- comfortable in both contemporary and Eucharistic worship
We can offer:
- A strong existing children and families ministry
- A welcoming church community with an abundance of gifting and talents
- Well-established links within the wider community such as schools and other churches
- A four-bedroom vicarage on site
