House for Duty Vicar of Overton St Helen

Introduction

Overton is a beautiful historic village, nested near the mouth of the River Lune with the same coastal landscape as that seen on THE BAY.  We are looking for a house for duty priest who has a heart for prayer and mission who will actively support us in reaching out to those members of the community who need our care or who may never have visited our Church and do not know the love of God.

We are a happy, friendly and accommodating congregation who will do our best to support and make our new Incumbent and their family welcome.  We have a Joyful school community where you’ll have the privilege of being a Governor.

We also appreciate that a house for Duty incumbent is not a full-time vicar and we will encourage you to manage your work-life balance.

We are looking for a priest who:

• has a good sense of humour 
• is committed to enhancing our ministry of hospitality which is already a feature of what we offer
• will encourage the relationship between the church and the school
• is open to change 
• is empathetic and welcoming
