Rector of The Rutland Water Benefice
Vacancy Reference cofe/TP/101970/8697
Introduction
In Peterborough Diocese, under the leadership of Bishop Debbie, we are praying, dreaming, consulting and planning about the way ahead for our mission and ministry. Are you being called to join us in the challenges, blessings and opportunities?
The appointment of a full time Rector, alongside a House for Duty priest, is a sign of our commitment to sustainable parish ministry in ways which enable creative outreach. The newly appointed Rector will be a key player in recruiting a House for Duty Priest colleague.
We seek a Rector who:
- Is confident, energetic and experienced, encouraging Benefice collaborative working.
- Will lead, nurture and build our team, growing our diverse strengths and gifts.
- Preach with sensitivity and understanding, in a relevant, incisive and engaging way.
- Encourages positive, open and inclusive worship both formal and informal, accepting the different models of church and having the creativity and openness to do things differently.
- Is actively involved in our ministry with local schools, children and young families, working with us to extend this ministry.
- Further develops sustainable stewardship to support us in growing our Benefice.
- Enjoys living and working in a village benefice, engaging with the wider community, offering sensitive pastoral care.
We look forward to hearing from you.
