Introduction

There is the opportunity here to build on the last few years and to further the outreach and witness within the Benefice. This includes important partnership with local schools, including Toddington St George which is a Church of England School.

We are looking to appoint a committed, compassionate person who will:

  • Live the love of God and has a strong calling to teach and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ
  • Nurture others in their faith and ministry being sensitive to what the church has already achieved and able to inspire further initiatives
  • Be a skilled and sensitive communicator experienced at juggling various demands both within the Church & the wider community
  • Have good organisational skills to fit into the limited hours and be able to delegate by building upon the participation of lay members in leading aspects of our church life including some parts of worship
  • Maintain and develop links with children and young people in the village, and be able to work and build on contacts already formed.

From the parishes; "We look forward to meeting and discussing these points with you and will be praying for the right person to hear God's call to come to us."

Applications close at noon on 1st July, and Interviews will be held on 23rd July 2025.

If you would like to arrange an informal conversation with the Venerable Dave Middlebrook, Archdeacon of Bedford, or receive an application pack, please contact his PA, Revd Tricia Reed on 1727 818167 or by email at archdbedpa@stalbans.anglican.org
