Introduction

St Mary’s is a vibrant and growing church with a heart for growing disciples and reaching out to our community. We aim to be an open, welcoming, prayerful, bible-centred, Spirit-filled Church that is for all ages and led by God, where lives are changed and people go out committed to being active disciples for Jesus. We offer a variety of service styles, a flourishing children’s ministry and have founded pioneer missional communities outside the church. Our Risborough Team includes three further thriving Parishes in neighbouring villages.

We are praying for a Team Rector to lead us who is:

  • an inspirational leader, rooted in prayer and scripture
  • missional and community oriented as we take church beyond the building
  • visionary and determined with the energy and drive to lead us on the journey for the next season

You will be supported by:

  • a strong leadership team
  • committed volunteers with a heart for our ministries
  • an experienced and collaborative Team clergy

St Mary’s is at the heart of Princes Risborough, a small market town on the edge of the Chilterns within commuting distance of London. The community is a mix of older retired people and families attracted by good housing, schools and access to jobs. We believe God is calling us to build relationships through our outreach activities and to create further missional communities as we take church beyond a Sunday service to a way of life.
