Interim Priest in Charge - The Benefice of Shiplake with Dunsden and Harpsden cum Bolney

Introduction

Our benefice consists of three rural churches close to Henley on Thames and Reading. We are seeking a full-time Priest in Charge, initially for a period of three years. 

We are looking for someone who will 

• focus on ministry, demonstrating wisdom and gentleness, as well as clarity and vision to people of all ages 
• serve the needs of younger people and families to worship in our churches by introducing new initiatives 
• have a willingness to engage with, and be part of, the local community 
• enjoy working with our Primary School and Shiplake College 
• develop and encourage community use of our beautiful buildings which may translate into attendance at services 

You will not be on your own. We have dedicated Associate Priests, Churchwardens, Benefice Administrator, Lay Leaders, two strong committed PCCs and loyal parishioners. We are supportive of flexible working patterns. Our priest’s well-being is of paramount importance to us and you will be encouraged to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
