Team Rector for Claydon and Swan Benefice, North Bucks
Vacancy Reference cofe/TP/111022/8758
Introduction
Jesus may well have used the earthworks of Herodium as a visual aid for ‘faith that can move mountains.’ In this landscape, the lacerations of HS2 and East/West Rail provide the visual aid, but the congregations – and the communities they serve – live out the faith. Ten churches across eight parishes in a rural setting are served by prayerful and warm-hearted people who are the heartbeat of this Team. Are you the person to lead them?
We are looking for a Team Rector who:
• Cares deeply about nurturing our discipleship and longs to encourage us in our outreach.
• Will lead us to further develop a fresh worshipping presence in all our villages.
• Aspires to identify, equip and develop the lay community with kindness and encouragement
• Plays for the Team as well as leading, easily keeping all involved and informed.
• Can prayerfully discern the leading of the Holy Spirit.
• Is uplifted by active involvement in village life.
What we can offer:
• A warm and welcoming church community.
• A chance to build your own clergy team by recruiting an FTE Team Vicar and a HfD Associate Minister.
• A robust and well-staffed safeguarding team, with experienced lay worship leaders too.
• 5 Primary schools, each with good established links, served by both laity and clergy.
• A well appointed 4-bedroom, detached Rectory and parochial expenses met in full.
