Are you called to lead a vibrant, community-focused church with a heart for mission, discipleship, and prayer?

St. Andrew's, Paddock Wood, is a thriving Anglican and Methodist Local Ecumenical Partnership. We are seeking a Vicar who will embrace our collaborative style of ministry and help us grow in faith, service, and outreach—especially among young people.

About us:

  • Rapidly expanding town with many new homes, reflected in an increasingly diverse congregation
  • Modern church complex serving as valued community hub with excellent facilities
  • Strong relationship with Kent Chinese Christian Church who worship in our building
  • Earmarked for specific funding as part of the Diocesan Vision and Strategy, with significant grant funding from 2027

We seek someone who:

  • Has a heart for mission and will shape our vision for outreach with our additional resourcing in conjunction with the diocese
  • Embraces collaborative leadership within our LEP structure
  • Has a heart for pastoral care and community engagement
  • Enjoys variety in worship styles from traditional to Messy Church
  • Can nurture individual ministries and enable others to flourish

We offer:

  • Well-resourced ministry team including Methodist Minister (one day per week), full-time Children & Families Worker, and four Licensed Lay Ministers
  • Supportive congregation passionate about community service
  • Full time Operations Manager
  • Proposed new 5-bedroom vicarage
  • Outstanding local schools and transport links to London

We are looking for a Vicar who is excited by this opportunity and equipped to work with the Diocese to shape and deliver a compelling vision for mission and ministry.
