The Diocese of Carlisle is looking for an

Deputy Diocesan Safeguarding Officer

To be based in Penrith who will

  • Manage a caseload responding to, assessing, and managing safeguarding concerns or allegations
  • Support the development of safeguarding arrangements, good practice, policy, and training.
  • Ensure those who pose a risk are appropriately supported and managed.
  • Build strong, professional and effective relationships with Diocesan and Cathedral staff including senior clergy and volunteers in a variety of church officer roles. 

This is a part-time position, 28 hours per week, however, we welcome discussion around part time working.

Salary: £43,525 FTE + 15% non-contributory pension (pro rata based on 35-hour week).

 This post will require an Enhanced DBS check.
