Introduction
Christ Church Lille, Chaplain
ICS seeks an experienced, enthusiastic, evangelical priest to lead this diverse and multi-cultural church in Lille, a lively, cosmopolitan city with a huge student population. He/she needs to have well-developed pastoral and teaching skills, be willing to explore both high and low church traditions in style and musical provision. Someone who is able to embrace the cultural and denominational diversity within this worshipping community of all nationalities, to grow discipleship and congregation numbers.
They must:
• Be able to represent the church in the public space and with institutional partners.
• Have knowledge of written French (to at least level A1) and spoken French (to at least level B1 is desired), commitment to develop further is essential. Fluency in English is also required.
The package includes a half stipend, a four-bedroom house, pension contributions and usual expenses. Lille is an international transport hub, with excellent road and rail connections.
