Priest-in-Charge in the Middle Marches Benefice (0.5)
Vacancy Reference cofe/TP/100931/9107
Introduction
We are praying for an inspirational, enthusiastic, prayerful priest to come and lead our Benefice in developing the ministry of others and help us to proclaim our faith in our communities.
The parishes of Clungunford, Bedstone, Hopton Castle, Chapel Lawn, Bucknell, Stowe and Llanfair Waterdine extend across a scenic and deeply rural part of South West Shropshire to the Mid Wales border. The nearest towns with a full range of amenities are Knighton, Craven Arms and Ludlow.
All seven churches are looking forward with hope to welcoming a new Priest-in-Charge who will work with them to move forward in developing their worship and witness.
The Parishes, the Post and the Person
This is a 0.5 post. You will find full details of the parishes, the role, the person specification and the support we can offer to a part-time Priest-in-Charge in the Profile. We hope you will enjoy reading it and finding out more about us and the person we are praying will come and be our new Priest-in-Charge.
Overall we are seeking someone with the gifts, experience and calling to:
- Grow our congregations in faith and numbers.
- Equip us to share our faith with those around us.
- Help us develop our prayer and pastoral care.
- Work positively with us on LLF and PLF, acknowledging the varying views of our Parishes.
- Identify and support others in their calling, vocations and ministries.
Because our Benefice is deeply rural, our new Priest-in-Charge will either need previous experience of rural life and ministry, or a commitment to learn and adapt.
