Introduction

Come and Journey with us as we grow in faith, hope and love

Seeking a Priest in Charge for the semi rural parish of Seal (Sevenoaks Deanery).  This is a part time appointment.

About our Parish and Church:

The Parish of St Peter and St Paul combines the village of Seal and the area of Godden Green. Seal (population approximately 1600) is situated about 2 miles north-east of the town of Sevenoaks.

Seal is a lively village with a popular C of E primary school, range of shops, library and places to eat. Seal gives easy access to 4 secondary schools.

St Peter and St Paul Church is grade 1 listed in a prominent position sited at the highest point of the village, overlooking the beautiful North Downs.

Worship follows a broad pattern supported by choir with monthly Messy Church and All Age Worship.

The  Vicarage, purpose built in 1983, has four bedrooms, a private drive, garage and beautiful well stocked garden.

We are prayerfully seeking someone who brings

  • a positive and engaging approach to Christian worship
  • a passion for mission and outreach
  • a visible presence in village life
  • a collaborative spirit and compassionate heart

We offer:

  • a welcoming and faithful congregation
  • a strong lay ministry team
  • well managed finances
  • a picturesque village setting with purpose built vicarage

We are committed to being accessible to all as an inclusive church.
