Introduction

Incumbent of St Mary the Virgin, Haughton Green. This post carries a 0.5 stipend.

The PCC is looking for an engaging and approachable team player, enthusiastic about developing the ministry and gifts of the whole church community, committed to leading them in discipleship and growth and developing links with the Mission Community and Deanery.

He/she will;

• be a person of joyful faith and sustained prayer, rooted in an Evangelical tradition
• be committed to a strong Safeguarding culture
• be committed to the Diocesan Mission Goals of Growing, Nurturing and Serving and the key themes of Growing Younger; Church Planting and Revitalisation; Developing Missional Leaders - Lay and Ordained; and Mission Renewal.
• be purposeful about developing positive links with the Mission Community and the Deanery
• be able to build on strong relationships with schools to develop discipleship opportunities for children, families and young people
• be able to encourage and further develop small discipleship/study groups and parish retreats
• be keen to reach and draw in the local communities and able to inspire the congregation to strengthen and develop mission to them
• be a pastoral presence.
