Introduction

Roles for 2 clergy

in the Eccleston Team with St Mark’s North Road

We are looking to appoint two full-time stipendiary clergy to lead these four parishes: St James with St Matthews, St John’s Ravenhead, St Luke’s Eccleston and St Mark’s North Road.

St James with St Matthew’s, St John’s and St Luke’s are the Eccleston team and have a good history of closer collaboration: St Mark’s is new to the grouping but we envisage it working effectively as part of the team. All four churches are broadly evangelical in character, but with different characters and senses of identity, and serving different communities in the north and east of the town of St Helens.

One of you will be Team Rector of the Eccleston Team and Priest-in-Charge of St Mark’s, with overall responsibility for the team, and one will be Team Vicar in the Eccleston Team and Associate Priest of St Mark’s. We hope that you will minister closely together as colleagues, as well as each offering focal ministry in two of the parishes.

Below you will find details of Team Vicar and Associate and you can find details of Team Rector and Priest in Charge here:

Housing is provided in St James Vicarage, 159a St Helens Road, Eccleston Park L34 2QB and in St John’s Vicarage, Crossley Road WA10 3ND. Both are comfortable family homes next to two of our churches.
