Introduction

Are you called to lead a welcoming, inclusive, and community-focused church into growth?

St Margaret’s Church serves the Ingol area of north Preston, a mixed residential neighbourhood that is growing fast. The church has a strong history of service to its community and good links with schools and other community organisations. Its warm and engaging congregation has shared in the Diocesan Renewal Programme and is keen to draw others into relationship with Jesus Christ.

St Margaret’s is:

  • A Eucharist-centred church of central tradition but open to fresh styles of worship.
  • Passionate about inclusivity, supporting women’s ministry, and welcoming all people.
  • Active in outreach through its food bank, bereavement café and community events.
  • Financially stable, with modern facilities including a Parish Centre and a comfortable Vicarage.

We are praying for a Vicar who will:

  • Lead us with joy, faith and love.
  • Foster the formation of new lay leaders
  • Lead us into spiritual and numerical growth
  • Strengthen still further our community relationships.
  • Be a good communicator and a loving pastor, delighting to welcome all into an inclusive and Christ-centred family.

Closing date: 12 noon on Friday 7th November 2025

Interviews will be held on: Monday 17th November 2025
