This post is initially for 3 years, with the possibility to renew for another 3 years. Within 6 years the incumbent of the neighbouring benefice of Purton is due to retire. A Scheme under the 1983 Pastoral Measure will be submitted to combine Purton and Lydiard Millicent into one benefice. The next Priest-in-Charge of Lydiard Millicent will need to work closely with Purton to ease this transition and deepen collaborative mission and ministry.
