Introduction

THE INNOVATIVE NE LINCS DEANERY PARTNERSHIP

is looking for a new

DEANERY  ADMINISTRATOR

Deanery Partnerships are a key feature of the Diocese of Lincoln’s plans for building a sustainable church across the diocese. They are based on the understanding that the local churches and mission and ministry activities will be run by collaborative, inclusive teams, allowing each team member to operate to their skills and calling as much as possible. The administrator is part of a Diocesan team of administrative support through which the Diocese, by investing in these local teams, recognises the need to free local ministers from some of the administrative tasks which might obstruct their ability to contribute to their best in their role and calling.

You will work alongside the leadership team. This part-time role requires you to support the work of the DP in implementing A Time to Grow Together, as we enter a new exciting phase of mission and growth.

Flexible working is required including some evenings and weekends. This will be mostly from home but with the possibility of working from  church based office space from time to time.

You will be building upon the good work of our  former Deanery  Administrator in working collaboratively  and relationally  with churches across the DP .

Your role will require you to provide administrative support for a wide range of activities across   the  DP including cover for services,  occasional offices,  annual returns and other data , safeguarding  compliance and checks,  organising DP meetings and events ,  recruitment,   the licensing of new clergy,  and working with schools and the local community

You will need to be friendly and  able to work well with a wide range of people. Good  IT skills are required.
