House for Duty Vicar of Overton St Helen
Vacancy Reference cofe/TP/70992/9626
Introduction
Nestled near the mouth of the River Lune with the same coastal landscape as that seen on THE BAY, Overton is a welcoming village with a strong sense of community and a historic church at its heart. We seek a prayerful, mission-minded priest to join us in sharing God’s love and strengthening links with our vibrant school and wider parish.
We appreciate that a house for Duty incumbent is not a full-time role and we will encourage you to manage your work-life balance.
The Bishop of Lancaster and Parish are looking for a priest who:
- Has a heart for prayer, mission, and hospitality.
- Is welcoming empathetic, and open to change.
- Enjoys working with all ages and engaging with the local community.
- Values humour and warmth in ministry.
“St Helen’s is a one of our ancient places of prayer: a thin place, with a warm welcome” (Bishop Jill Duff)
