Interim Minister of Bredenbury Benefice
Vacancy Reference cofe/TP/116512/9629
Introduction
The Bredenbury Benefice brings together seven rural parishes close to
Bromyard in Herefordshire. We are small in terms of population but make
up for it by being a close-knit family, with good relations between the
parishes. Each parish is unique, with its own identity. United as a benefice
gives us strength to fulfil the 3 core aims; to lead worship, to deliver pastoral
care and to take God’s word to the community.
The Bishop as patron seeks a priest who:
- Can reach out to encourage and develop work with young people, families and the farming community.
- Can provide a fresh and innovative approach to worship whilst respecting more traditional forms.
- Can help us develop new forms of worship and ministry which are contextually relevant.
- Is creative, openminded, thoughtful and a team player.
This post is designated an interim post under section 29 of common tenure. This is initially for 3 years but may be extended.
Bredenbury is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All post holders are expected to share this commitment.”
All appointments are subject to acceptable pre-appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists check. We are committed to equal opportunities and diversity in Hereford Diocese and welcome applications from all suitably qualified clergy.
As UKME/GMH individuals are currently under-represented within our Diocese – we would particularly welcome applications from these candidates.
