Vicar

The Parish of the Northern Plain, in the Isle of Man seeks to appoint a new Vicar.. The Parish is semi-rural and blessed with five churches serving four villages in the North West of the Island. The Parish would welcome a person of prayer and discernment, who will:

• Enjoy and engage fully in ministry in a semi-rural parish
• Have experience, energy and sensitivity to discern God’s priorities and help us renew and develop our vision and grow our congregations and implement change sensitively and appropriately.
• Be keen to work collaboratively with parishioners and with the wider community, empowering others to lead. 
• Be confident and comfortable introducing a variety of worship styles
• Be willing to lead and encourage Bible study groups, to teach   and help us grow in our personal faith.
• Have a naturally pastoral disposition, able to engage with all ages.
• Be willing to be part of the broader work of the Diocese. 

We would particularly welcome applicants with an interest in developing their ministry as part of the Diocesan Communications Team. This is desirable but not a prerequisite.

• Stipend above the RSB, travel allowance and 42 normal working days annual leave to facilitate and support travel on and off the island.
