Introduction

We’re looking for two part-time exceptional Sales Assistants to join our Cathedral shop team supporting the trading subsidiary, St Paul’s Cathedral Enterprises, of this iconic Central London landmark.

As well as serving our visitors and customers by providing exceptional customer care and assistance/information, you’ll help in the day-to-day operational activities of the Cathedral shop. This involves operating the tills and handling cash and stock.

To be effective in the role you’ll have excellent customer service skills, ideally gained in a visitor-facing role in a busy environment.

We would love for you to apply if you have:

•    Experience in a retail environment

•    Experience in cash-handling and computerised systems, in particular tills

•    Confident and clear communication skills, both written and verbal

The icing on the cake would be advanced skills in a language other than English to engage with our visitors from across the globe.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and expect our whole team to share in this commitment.

As the Cathedral serves as a place of worship, a centre of learning and a visitor attraction 365 days a year, you’ll need to work some weekends and bank holidays as part of the annualised hours rota.

In return you’ll find we are a welcoming place to work and we each take responsibility for our part in the Cathedral’s work, looking after St Paul’s for the next generation.

We are committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of United Kingdom Minority Ethnic / Global Majority Heritage, women, and disabled people are currently under-represented in our workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase our representation.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 12th February 2026 at 11:59pm.

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 24th February 2026.
