(Holy Trinity Horwich, Rivington, St Catherine’s Horwich
and St Elizabeth’s Horwich).

Is God calling you to share in the next exciting stage of our journey as a Team

in Horwich and Rivington?

The United Benefice of Horwich and Rivington is a large and diverse team of four churches ranging from the beautiful rural setting of Rivington to the Urban and Suburban areas
of the town of Horwich.
We are looking for a Team Vicar to work with the Team Rector to develop and implement our vision to be four churches reaching out in mission and ministry to the distinct communities we each serve, united in the faith, hope and love of Jesus.

We are looking for a dynamic and prayerful priest in the evangelical tradition
with a heart for ministry to families, children and young people
to join our large team of ordained and lay leaders.

We realise that change is an essential part of growth and so we are seeking a Team Vicar who will be:

  • A person with a deep and robust faith.
  • A missionary leader, able to develop and enable the active witness of others.
  • A collaborative leader, willing and able to share leadership and support the Team Rector in developing and implementing our vision.
  • A person who understands and is excited by opportunities for mission and ministry in schools, with families and younger people, and between the generations.
  • Someone who has experience of developing and leading discipleship within a diverse Team, and of encouraging and nurturing the vocations of others.
  • Someone willing to be a supportive and pastoral leader of change.
