Introduction

Incumbent of KIRDFORD with PLAISTOW AND WISBOROUGH GREEN

The Bishop of Chichester, Patrons, and Parish Representatives seek to appoint a full-time stipendiary incumbent for this united benefice. These two parishes are committed to serve together, seeking to know, love and follow Jesus in these vibrant villages in West Sussex.

We are praying for a priest who will:

  • encourage and develop prayer ministry, fruitful discipleship, and encounter with God
  • be a gifted Bible teacher applying the scriptures to all ages and stages of life and faith
  • support and encourage us in sharing the good news of Jesus with others
  • develop and empower lay ministries and deeper fellowship
  • support us to increase our vision of God’s Kingdom.

We offer:

  • friendly, welcoming church communities
  • regular, well-attended Bible study groups
  • dedicated prayer and pastoral care teams
  • a full complement of experienced and committed Bishop's Officers, with supportive and hardworking PCCs, lay ministers, and organists and musicians
  • a proven enthusiasm for community engagement and care
  • villages that will truly welcome the new vicar as part of their community
  • very well-maintained buildings, and a new property recently bequeathed to the Church.
