Introduction
Could God be calling you to lead a joyful, creative and deeply rooted rural benefice at an exciting time of growth and renewal?
The Over Wyre Benefice is seeking a Parish Priest with a deep love of God, a heart for people, and the imagination to help discern and live into God’s unfolding future.
Situated on the Fylde, north and east of the River Wyre, Over Wyre is a joyful rural benefice of five parishes and six churches, rooted in prayer, hospitality and community life. Worship is varied and life‑giving, children and families are central to the vision of the parishes, with strong schools links and an enthusiastic ministry team Although there is a rich history and heritage, we are equally excited about what God is doing now – and what lies ahead.
We are praying for a Parish Priest who:
- Is deeply rooted in prayer, confident in their calling and secure in their identity in Christ
- Can lead collaboratively, and is willing to work alongside our volunteers and lay leaders, encouraging and equipping them in their ministries
- Has strong pastoral skills and is a good listener
- Has enthusiasm for mission, discipleship and growth
- Understands, or is open to learning about, rural and multi-parish ministry
- Will be a visible and meaningful presence, both in church and across our local communities
- Brings joy, humour and hope to leadership
