Vicar of St Anne's on Sea, St Anne
Vacancy Reference cofe/TP/70992/9915
Introduction
St Anne’s is a large and vibrant parish church which, whilst proud of its Anglican heritage, sits in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England and is affiliated to the Society of St Wilfrid and St Hilda. It is notable for the quality of its worship, its choral tradition and its emphasis on building community through good pastoral care.
The parish serves a population of around 14,000 and is located in a vibrant seaside town with excellent amenities, good transport links, beautiful coastline and a strong community spirit. Our congregation comprises a broad range of ages and backgrounds and the parish has a strong link with the large and popular Heyhouses Church of England Primary School.
We are praying for a priest who:
- Has a genuine love for Jesus Christ and His people, and a deep commitment to prayer and sacramental life.
- Is nurtured in the Catholic tradition and able to maintain our high standard of worship.
- Is warm, approachable, sociable and a steady, caring pastor with a good sense of humour.
- Brings experience of incumbency and the ability to lead, delegate and encourage the gifts of others.
- Will cherish and build upon our strong relationship with our large Church school.
- Can bring faith alive for all ages and help us grow our ministry among children and young people.
- Is visible in the community and eager to seize the many mission opportunities around us.
If you are a priest with a heart for people, a love of the sacraments, and a desire to help a flourishing parish continue to grow in faith, hope and love, we would be delighted to hear from you.
