Vicar of Lostock Hall St James with Farington Moss St Paul
Vacancy Reference cofe/TP/70992/9916
Introduction
Could God be calling you to Lostock Hall & Farington Moss? Two churches. One welcoming benefice. A new season ahead.
The Benefice of Lostock Hall St James and Farington Moss St Paul is prayerfully seeking a warm, energetic and encouraging priest to lead us forward into renewal, growth and deeper discipleship.
After a challenging chapter in our shared story, both churches are ready for a fresh beginning — rooted in faith, hope and a desire to flourish. We are two different but complementary parishes:
St James – a friendly suburban church with a strong choir, lively community connections, and a well‑used church hall right at the heart of the village.
St Paul’s – a rural‑edged parish with a growing congregation, a thriving C of E primary school, and a much‑loved church hall that hums with community life.
We are praying for a priest who will:
- Inspire and deepen our worship
- Help us grow in line with the Diocesan Vision and LYCiG
- Strengthen our ministry with children, families and schools
- Be visible, approachable and joyfully present in our communities
- Support us as we rebuild, refresh and re‑imagine our mission
- Bring enthusiasm, encouragement and a steady spiritual presence
- Value traditional Anglican worship while embracing opportunities to innovate
If you are a pastoral, prayerful priest with a heart for village and suburban ministry, a desire to nurture healing and unity, and a passion for mission and community, we warmly invite you to explore our benefice and consider joining us for the next chapter of our journey.
