This Benefice is situated in a lively small town within the Deanery of Eastbourne, near the South Downs National Park, with excellent road and rail links. The Bishop of Chichester seeks to appoint a Vicar who will offer a dynamic evangelistic and pastoral ministry in this parish with potential for growth. 

We are praying for an evangelical priest who will:

• Be a prayerful expository preacher of God’s Word

• Help us to love one another as a church family

• Nurture individual and collective growth as disciples of Jesus Christ, including children and families 

• Share the gospel and lead the two churches (St John's and St Wilfrid's) in making a difference to our local community

• Two church halls with good kitchen and office facilities 
• A spacious modern 4 bed detached vicarage 5 minutes’ walk from the church
