Introduction

The Bishop of Rochester seeks to appoint

Full time Rector for the

Benefice of Brasted & Sundridge with Ide Hill & Toys Hill

Ready to lead a welcoming, ambitious rural benefice?

Following the retirement of our previous incumbent, the newly formed Benefice of Brasted and Sundridge with Ide Hill and Toys Hill is seeking a full‑time Rector to guide us into our next chapter.

We’re blessed with two supportive, united and capable PCCs, and we’re looking for someone approachable, caring and rooted in the Central tradition—someone who can adapt to changing needs and help our churches flourish.

We hope you’ll bring a passion for growing faith and attendance, especially among families, children and young people, and continue to strengthen our excellent relationships with our two Church of England primary schools.

You’ll also enjoy building up our pastoral team, deepening our links with the wider community, and becoming a visible, valued presence in village life.

In return, you’ll find friendly congregations eager to grow, vibrant communities set amid outstanding natural beauty, and a spacious four‑bedroom rectory with a separate Parish Office, all in a wonderfully connected part of West Kent.

Full details are in the Parish Profile, which can be downloaded from the ‘Vacancies’ section of the Diocesan website https://www.rochester.anglican.org/xdb/vacancies
